.name is a top level domain (TLD) exclusively created for personal name (eg. John.Smith.name).





What is the proper format for .name domain name?
.name domain names are composed for first and last name. The order of the name is not important. For example, John Smith can register:

                John.Smith.name
                Smith.John.name
                J.Smith.name 





Do I get an email with my .name domain name?
Yes. Your .name domain name comes with an email (eg. John@Smith.name). You can set up the .name email to forward to an existing account. When you register your .name domain name, your .name email automatically forward to the contact email for your account. If you wish to change the email to which the .name email is forwarded to, please log into your Account Manager.





Can I use my .name domain and email right after registration?
You should be able to use your .name domain and email 24hrs after registration.





How do I change the DNS (domain name server) for my .name domain?
You can change the DNS for your .name domain name in your Account Manager. Once you have changed the DNS, please allow 24hrs for it to be updated.
