Account FAQ > Technical Contact

What is the technical contact?
The technical contact is the person or organization who maintains the primary domain name server. The technical contact should be able to answer technical questions about the domain name's primary domain name server and work with technically-oriented people in other domains to solve technical problems that affect the domain name.

Who should be the technical contact?
When your register your domain name through DomainProcessor, we are automatically listed as the technical because we maintain your domain name. You have the option to change the technical contact to your new ISP.

Do I need to change the technical contact when I change my ISP?
No. Your Hosting company does not necessarily need to be listed as the technical contact for your domain name.
