What is the technical contact? The technical contact is
the person or organization who maintains the primary domain name
server. The technical contact should be able to answer technical
questions about the domain name's primary domain name server and
work with technically-oriented people in other domains to solve
technical problems that affect the domain name.
Who should be the technical
contact? When your register your domain name through DomainProcessor, we are
automatically listed as the technical because we maintain your
domain name. You have the option to change the technical contact
to your new ISP.
Do I need to change the technical
contact when I change my ISP? No. Your Hosting company does not necessarily need to be
listed as the technical contact for your domain name.
Step-by-step
instructions to modifying the administrative contact
Step 1 Login to your Account Manger
by entering your username and password.
Step 2
Select the domain name that you would like to modify.
Step 3
Then click on the
Technical Contact from the
menu located on the left hand side of page.
Step 4
Click the "Modify" button at the bottom of the page to
edit information.
Step 5 Type in the new information in the provided fields. If you
would like to update the organization/admin/billing contact with the same
information, select the check box. When you are done, click the
"Update Now" button. Your information will be updated
within 24hrs.
